Good to know....
Three unusual views over Rome
The view over the city is one of the unforgettable moments of your Roman holiday and we have already mentioned some famous locations where you can enjoy it!
But our guests are brave and they can go a bit further out to have a panoramic experience off the beaten track. Here are three suggestions:
- Via Piccolomini is a road where you can experience an optical illusion. The farer you go, the bigger the dome of St Peter’s would appear. We can include this stop in our Vespa tours!
- Monte Ciocci is not far from the Vatican and can be reached by metro A (stop Valle Aurelia): a suburban terrace suitable for a walk with a view and also a drink at “Il Casotto“
- Monte Mario was renamed “mons gaudi” (the hill of joy) by pilgrims who finally envisaged their destination, Rome, after months of walking. We suggest to have access from Villa Mazzanti (Via G. G. De Bernardi)
