In February 2026 Trevi fountain changed its rules: how do you have access now?

You need to pay 2 euros pp and you can do it locally (only by card) or online 
If you already have your ticket, you skip a first line for payment, but still need to line in a corridor to have the final access to the low level of the basin. Estimating time here is quite difficult for the high season. In low season could be a matter of few minutes.

Before 9 a.m. and after 10 p.m. access is free and unregulated.

We suggest to avoid including this visit in our tours and not lose time with your guide in a line, unless you opt for the summer sunrise tour at 7 a.m., which we strongly suggest for the city centre in peak season!
