\n\"picnic-villa-pamphili\"<\/a><\/span>[revised March 2026]<\/em> <\/span>There are so many\u00a0 parks in Rome, it would be a pity not to enjoy one, at least! <\/span><\/p>\n

Buy a ball,\u00a0<\/span>rent a bike<\/a> and “live” the cheerful atmosphere of the gardens next to Roman families.<\/span><\/p>\n

Why not to buy some freshly baked bread or “white pizza” (we do not say focaccia<\/em>\u00a0in Rome, but pizza bianca<\/em>), mortadella, salami or your favorite cheese, a bottle of wine, a good \u00a0crostata or Pompi tiramisu’<\/a>\u00a0 and go to Villa Borghese<\/strong>?<\/p>\n

After your picnic and a nap under a tree, you have several cultural options. You are in the “Park of the Museums” and you can chose among the important Borghese Gallery<\/a>\u00a0(but remember to book it), the interesting\u00a0Etruscan Museum<\/a>\u00a0housed in the Renaissance Villa Giulia, the\u00a0Modern Art museum La Galleria Nazionale\u00a0di Arte Moderna e Contemporanea<\/a> or just a quick look at the house\/workshop of the artist\u00a0Pietro Canonica<\/a>\u00a0dedicated to an Italian sculptor of the XIX century.<\/p>\n

Other historical parks that deserve a visit are Villa Doria Pamphili, Villa Torlonia, Villa Sciarra, Villa Celimontana or Villa Ada<\/strong> and we are more than happy to arrange a tour in all these parks by bike or on foot, a short “urban trekking” to live the city from the inside. And remember… relax, you are on holiday!<\/p>\n

PS Do not forget Rome has a pleasant “Botanical Garden” in Trastevere, an artificial lake at EUR surrounded by cherry trees from Japan and the archeological green areas of the Palatino, Via Appia Antica and Aqueducts!\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
